The detention house is also there. The old immigration station at Philadelphia was at the waters edge and the new station will be on the waters edge. It seems to be a wise thing to place these stations as near the landing stage as possible. and the reason for it is one that I am sure will appeal to the. gentleman from Illinois. Sometimes the patients are detained on account of sickness.
