President. I rise to .a formal matter. The Senate passed the bill to amend. paragraph 2 of section 4 of an act entitled "An act to establish a Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization and to provide for a uniform rule for the naturalization of aliens throughout the United States." approved June 29. 1906. The provisions of the bill were incorporated in a House bill which has now received the signature of the presiding officers of both Houses. I therefore move that the bill be recalled from the House of Representatives. and I enter a motion to reconsider the votes by which Senate bill S. 8695 was ordered to a third reading and passed. with a view to its indefinite postponement after it has been returned to the Senate.
