He and I have disagreed more directly on. the general subject of immigration than possibly any other two men in the Ilouse. I have full confidence in his. integrity of purpose. and I am glad to hear from. his own lips that he has the same confidence in mine. I desire to thank the gentleman from Pennsylvania for his very fair. correct. and kindly statement. And I desire to agree with my colleague from New York that when this Congress gave us $150.000 it was our duty to cut off field work at the earliest possible moment and. to complete the work so far as the money given us by Congress would go.
