I would not make the point of order. but I have no idea that this will be the end of it if it is allowed to remain in the bill. Hence I propose to make a few remarks on the subject. and at the conclusion of the debate I shall insist on my point of order. I am opposed to the paragraph making an appropriation of $125.000 to continue the life of the Immigration Commission. because I believe it will be a complete waste of that amount of the peoples money. in addition to the enormous amount of $657.992.67 that has already been expended by it in a most lavish and extravagant manner. The Immigration Commission created by the immigration act of February 20. 1907. is composed of three Senators. three Representatives. and three lay members. the latter being Commissioner of Labor Charles P. Neill. Prof.
