Speech #600153030

We boast of our AngloSaxon blood. It is mixed. of course. with currents from a thousand streams. but it all comes from that central source in .the high plateaus of central Asia. east of the Caspian Sea and north of the Hindu Kush Mountains. Waves of emigration came successively. one after the other. penetrating northern Europe. driving out the Turanians and leaving there the Fins. the Laps. the Samoyedes. and so forth. but in great part supplanting them. There came on wave after wavethe Teutons. the Goths. the Vandals. the Celts. the Cimbri. the Gauls. the Franks. and then the Greeks. pausing a while in the mountains of Phrygia. sent forth swarms of semimythical Pelasgians. We have blood of them all. and I believe it is the best composite of any in the world.
