I will say to the gentleman it is due to the action of Congress in authorizing expenditures for this service out of this fund. like the construction of an immigration station at a cost of a quarter of a million dollars In Philadelphia and another one somewhere else. and then the enforcement of the naturalization lawsall of that comes out of that fund. then the legislative immigration commission. that have expended in the neighborhood of $300.000. I think. until today the fund is not only exhausted. but we have under consideration a deficiency estimate of $500.000 to meet the expenses
