Yet our highest court has adjudicated that is a conviction in a felony case. and I think your bill as drafted would cause those men to be deported. for an offense that could be considered trivial. And if the bill was amended as suggested by the gentleman from New York [AIr. PAYNE!. providing for imprisonment in the penitentiary. or something of that kind. that objection might be removed.
