C.: Concurrent resolutions: Whereas the honorable chairman of the Rivers and Harbors Committee of the House of itepresentatives is laboring under misapprehension or Ill advice as to the volume of water therein. and the value of the upper Missouri and Yellowstone rivers for navigation purposes. and whereas the volume of traffic on both of the navigable streams north of tie fortysixth parallel will continue to increase with the now rapidly increasing immigration and the wonderful development of the country tributary to said rivers incident to the completion of the irrigation ditches along said rivers now under construction by the United States: Now. therefore. be it Resolved by the heuse of rcptcsentativcs of the State of North Daaeta (the setate callcttrting). That our Senators and Representatives are respectfully urged to secure proper recognition at the hands of Congress and to have proper surveys made and adequate appropriations provided for the immediate snagging of the upper Missouri and Yellowstone rivers. time dredging of shoal places. the removal of rocks from the channel. and the protection of the landing at the several important places. particularly at Rockhaven. Washburn.
