The act provides that where a natalized citizen shall for five continuous years absent himself from this country. the prestinption shall arise that lie intends to renounce his citizenship. He ifay overcome that presuniption if 11e call convince the proper officers that there is sufficient reason for his act. that he still intends to be one of us. that lie intends to return here. that lie is t citizen aind expects to remain a citizen of the United States. But titis bill provides that tlhe presulption shall arise at the expiration of five years. atid I think the saime provision is iin the naturalization bill.
