Speech #590127134

When you coine to the Army. it seems to me that there is not a man on this floor that represents a constituencyI know that there is not a man on the floor who makes such statements because he believes in the talkbut there is not a man on this floor. in my judgment. that represents a constituency that demands this constant fling at the American Army. Do you know. Mr. Speaker. as I have said so often. the Army of the United States is composed of citizens of the United States. boys that are born and raised in the United States? Under the law that was passed twelve years ago a man can not get into the Army unless he is a nativeborn citizen or naturalized citizen of this country.
