Then. for a second illustration. here are men who believe that a man ought not to be allowed to work unless he can read and write. Some of them are the very same sort of men. by the way. who say Mississippi is traitorous to the spirit of our institutions because she does not allow men to voto who do not read and write. which is totally a different proposition.
