I desire to add my testimony to that of the Senator from Georgia on that point. I will go a little bit further than the Senator from Georgia. I have encountered a good manyimmigrants from southern Italy coming to my part of this country. and taking them all in all I think they compare favorably with almost any immigrants who come here except. perhaps. the Germans and the Scandinavians. They are frugal. they are sober. and they are industrious. That has been the experience I have had. and for my part I aun perfectly willing for as many immigrants from southern Italy to come to this country as we can induce to do so.
