Session #59 · 1905–07

Speech #590091615

Mr. Chairman. in reply to the gentleman from Massachusetts . I want to say to the House that the immigration bill has been made a privileged bill. and the only way that I can see how it can possibly escape consideration at this session is for us to go into a fight every time a bill is brought up. especially an appropriation bill. and try to defeat the motion in order to get at some of these other privileged bills. I think if the House goes on in the usual ordinary parliamentary way. with the preference that the House has already given the immigration bill. the gentleman will not have piuch trouble.
