Braun to the chief of police. Mr. Bela Rudnay. to demand an explanation. and he also called on the councilor .of the ministry of interior. Dr. Alexander Selley. and at both places they practically admitted that Mr. Braun was considered by them as a private person for the purpose -of possibly detecting him in some offense against the Hungarian emigration law and to make his further stay impossible in that country as an American inspector of immigration.
