In the last twenty years the influx into the cities in our country has vastly increased. In 1880 25 per cent of the population lived in cities of 4.000 and upward. in 1900 it has increased to 37 per cent and is steadily increasing. In addition to this influx into the cities the foreign immigrants. especially from southern Europe. settle there.
