They sniffe& the air of freedom as though it were both strange and pleasant It is said that. with few exceptions. they are bad upon the reservation. it was remarked that nothing ought now to be said that mighi jar upon their consciences. I inquired whether they lMve com( back to the reservation with their consciences or whether thel left them off.
