Whether they succeed in that respect or not. they certainly make it expensive. Here in the report from the Territory of Oklahoma is a group entitled "Picking cherries on an Oklahoma fruit ranch." It is a picture of some goodlooking young women on ladderssuch a group as you might see not only in Oldahoma. but in any other Territory or in any State of the United States. In the report from the Territory of Hawaii I find a largesized picture of a beautiful girl. and it is entitled "Hawaiian woman. " This is gotten up at Government expense. with the object. doubtless. of attracting attention to Hawaii. and if this were a fair specimen of Hawaiian women I have no doubt it would stimulate a large immigration of young men. Then. here in the report from the governor of New Mexico I find one picture entitled "Normal school basketball team. Silver City. 1001." It is a picture of a group of about a dozen plump and comely young women in bloomers. it is the great basketball team!
