I will insert in connection with what I now say the views presented by myself when the House bill was originally reported. and which are as follows: There are some features of this bill which I approve. I am in favor of all suitable legislation to discourage and prevent the coming into our country of all such persons as oppose organized government and seek its subversion. Our citizenship should not be impaired and our institutions should not be imperiled by the immigration and naturalization of anarchists. There is no place for them in our free country. Their presence among us is not only undesirable. but dangerous.
