The next amendment of the Committee on Immigration was. in section 20. on page 18. line 4. after the word "act." to strike out "or therafter. the provisions of sections 15. 16. 17. 18. and 19 shall not apply (except as to retention of certificate as an evidence of status. by a person obtaining one thereunder). but in lieu thereof these." and insert the words "the following." and in line 8. after the word "provisions." to strike out "designed to give him all freedom of movement compatible with the prevention of abuse of the privilege given to his class." so as to make the paragraph read: Sac. 20.
