I want it understood. too. that this applies not only to what has already been said. but to what shall hereafter be said on the same subject by each side. respectively. on the same question. I call the attention of the House to the findings of this committeeat least to a part of the findings. and especially to the first paragraph: we find that Brigham H. Roberts was elected as a Representative to the Fiftysixth Congress from the State of Utah. and was at the date of his election above the ago of 25 years: that he had been for more than seven years a naturalized citizen of the United States and was an inhabitant of the State of Utah. I call attention to this enumeration of the qualifications of the member from Utah because they include all the prescribed qualifications in the Constitution of our country for a member in this House. and I further call attention to the declaration here made that the member for Utah was elected. Now. putting behind that finding the logic. the forceful argument. of the gentleman from Maine -and. mark you.
