Besides. the difference between the wages in that country and this is such that they could easily make the amount within a short time. I am not sure. however. that this is of so much importance. as we are about to take seven or eight millions of that kind of people into the Republic. But until that is accomplished. I doubt if this Chineseexclusion act ought to be amended in the way of liberalizing it any further.
