They divided the country into irrigation districts. cooperated with each other. and succeeded in making a garden in the desert which is admired by everybody. But our immigrants when they went into the arid regions. without any cooperation. without any information. met the same difficulty. which obtains still. They were unable to raise ordinary vegetables where they had land and water. for the lack of knowledge how to bring them together. It is quite an art to raise even potatoes.
