Some of the very best immigrantsin fact. the very best in the second and third generations. if not the very first. trying as they may be in certain characters. equal to Germans and Scandinavians in all good qualities which they bring hereare Irishmen. In a generation they are the Yankees of Yankees. the Americans of the Americans. and can we afford to exclude those whose mother tongue is English? Yea. verily.
