I am the only one to defend my position. That I made the motion in good faith I trust the House will concede. I do not desire to endanger the bill. but the subjectmatter is of so vast importance and. asI stated before. these Senate amendments cut so deeply into the mbst delicate relations of family. of society. and of life. that I thought I was justified in making the motion to recommit this bill to the House committee for the purpose of getting some new light. some additional information upon the amendments added to it by the Senate. which.
