We have an intimation made from the other end of the Capitol that adjournment may be had by the 18th of next month. and we are at the threshold of that month. In my anxiety for this legislation. I was willing that the bankruptcy bill should give way in order that it might be considered in time to secure its passage into law. We have other matters that are pressing on us for considerationimportant bills from the Committee on Labor and bills from the Committee on Immigrationand if we want to reach these matters so that the Senate shall have time to attend to them. I think the time for talk has passed and the time for action has arrived. I reserve the balance of my time.
