I am directed by the Committee on Printing. to whom was referred a resolution providing for printing the report of the Immigration Investigating Commission appointed by the Secretary of the Treasury. to report it with an amendment. and I ask for its present consideration. The Senate. by unanimous consent. proceeded to consider the resolution. The amendment of the Committee on Printing was. in line 2. before the word "copies." to strike out "bound." and after the word . copies" to insert "in paper cover". so as to make the resolution read: Resolved. That there be printed 3.500 copies in paper cover of the report of tho Immigration Investigrting Commission. appointed by the Secretary of the Treasury under date of June 13. 1894. 2.000 copies for the use of the Senate and 1.500 copies for the use of the Bureau of Immigration.
