I am not aware of any additional powers having been conferred especially upon the Commissioner of Internal Revenue which would retu~ire such anincrease. if the increase is mainly because of the incometax provision. of course that answers the question. In other words. I do not understand why there should be an increase in cerical force in the office of the Commissioner of Internal Revenuie unless it arises from the income tax. b r. C0OKRELL.
