They are not the intruders about whom we hear. The intruders are people who claim to be of Indian descent and as much entitled to be recognized as Indian citizens asany of the Indian citizens. The people I now speak of are white citizens. white immigrants who have been invited there by the Indians themselves to cultivate their lands. to carry on business. to do the work in the Indian Territory. for the white Indians of the Indian Territory who have the lands do not intend to work. They are the landlords. The white people who have come from the surrounding country are their tenants.
