I spbmit a resolution calling for the continued correspondence in the Mora case. for which I ask immediate consideration. We have a part of the correspondence before the Committee on Foreign Relations. It is a matter referred to in the Presidents message. The resolution was considered by unanimous consent. and agreed to. as follows: Resolved. That the President be requested. if not in his opinion incompatible with public interests. to furnish the Senate with copies of the correspondence between the Government of the United States and the Government of Spain since the date of his last message to the Senate (June 20.1894) in regard to the payment of the indemnity which the Spanish Government i1i the year 1886 agreed to pay in settlement of the claim of Antonio Maximo Mora. a naturalized citizen of the United States.
