On amendment numbered 98: Strikes out the authority proposed by the House to use $5.000 of the appropriation for suppressing counterfeiting and other crimes in the necessary investigation of violations of section 5209 of the Revised Statutes. On amendmentsnumbered 99 and 100: Appropriates $400. as proposed by the Senate. instead of M500. as proposed by the House. for custody. care. and protection.of lands and other property belonging to the United States.
