Speech #530131725

Mr. Chairman. we have heard on this issue of H2 workers from a good deal of the interest of labor. a good deal of the interest of the western agricultural community and of course from our own distinguished committee chairman and subcommittee chairman on the Immigration and Judiciary Committees. but I wish to present for a few moments a perspective from the Southeast. from Florida. where the H2 program that we are debating amending here today has in fact been operating and has had some great deal of use and practice. In the area particularly of sugarcane growing. there has been a great use of this program. Most people.
