Chairman. first I would like to compliment the gentleman from Nebraska for the thing he is going to do in a few minutes. which is to withdraw this amendment. I thank the gentleman for that. I want to thank the chairman of the committee for working with the gentleman from Nebraska so we could reach this point. If there is anything that our immigration policy should stand for it is for reunification of the family. We in this body hold the esteem of the family in very high regard. Indeed. many of the things we do here are to preserve the family.
