Our workmen have lost their wages. lost their honey. it is true. but then they are no longer pursued by foreigners. the bees. and that is consolation. Advocated by such high Democratic authorityit may be Democratic. but it is not American. The American idea. the Republican idea. is to hive the bees in their own country by laws restricting immigration that will restrict. and protect our working men and women in the enjoyment of their wages. their own honey. God pity the American workingman if he trusts his political future to a party advocating such a measure!
