Speech #520048959

Ivoted for the Scott law and I shall vote for it again. I do not choose to be put in the r~le of those who are in a penitential mood over that transaction. I voted for it. as I have voted for all laws which I believed would prevent a Mongolian inundation on the Pacific Slope or any other portion of this country. I voted for it as l am willing to vote for any lawv that will prevent so great a calamity to this country. The Chinese are .sui generis emphatically. They do not beliong to the general category of immigrants into this country. They donot assimilate with the American people. To use a better word. they do not homofogate with our people at all They are political parasites.
