Whatever it may be. I do not see bow it is related to this discussion or to the subjectmatter of the pending bill. I am very confident that neither the people of the United States nor any nation in Europe has ever made the labor of the almshouse the subjectof export. 1 am very confident. sir. that the products of pauper labor have never entered into the bulk or volume of international exchanges. I feel very certain that these products have formed no part ot the trade or commerce of nations upon the high seas. The labor to which this discussion and the pending bill relates is not of that character.
