Now what is the provision of this section? SEc. 2. That any person. persons. or corporation entering intoa contractprohibited bysection 1 of this act with any alien. or who shall knowingly assist. encourage. or solicit the linportation or immigration of any alien into the United States. to perform labor or service of any kind under contract or agreement. parol or special. express or implied. with such alien. made previous to his becoming a resident of the United States. shall be fined in a sum not exceeding 81.000. or imprisoned for% period not exceeding six months. or both. at the discretion of the court.
