He makes a bargain with any one of you gentlemen to come here and he comes here. Is not that a pretty good kind of an immigrant? But you keep him out. and we bring in shiploads of men who do not know what they can do or what they are going to do. and they come in free. You had better let the laziest and lousiest of all come here free. because he would learn after awhile. and it would be better than life in his own courttry. where he works for next to nothing. than to send his goods here free.
