I also present resolutions adopted by the Commercial Club of Kansas City. in the State of Missouri. I will read these resolutions and ca:l the attention of the distinguished Senator from North Carolina . the chairman of the Committee on Private Land Claims. to them: Whereas the business relations of Kansas City with New Mexico and Arizona have been close and continuous since the days of the Santa F6 trail. and the prosperity and growth of that section of the southwest is of direct and permanent benefit to Kansas City. and Whereas the full development of that region is hampered and retarded by the unsettled condition of land titles arising from Spanish and Mexican land grants. for the ascertainment of which no adequate provision has beeh made by law. and Whereas permanent immigration and investment of capital upon such lands can notbe expected until tilles thereto are established: Now. therefore. Be it resolved.
