Speech #500148525

There are two classes of people who come to this country who arealways naturalized. One is the Scandinavian and the other is the Irishman. You can always depend upon it. when you find a Scandinavian. that if he has been here long enough he is a citizen. and he is generally a good one. They become as patriotic and as loyal to American institutions as people to the manor born. and much more so than a great many whom it has been my opportunity occasionally to meet in this country. They have more of the loyal American spirit in them than many men who find themselves occupying high public positions in this country.
