The Senate. as in Committee of the Whole. resumed the consideration of the bill to provide for the formation and admission into the Union of the State of Washington. and for other purposes. A Ir. STEWART. As there is not probably time to finish that bill this afternoon. and inasmuch as the bill to prohibit Chinese immigration. Order of Business 1801. has been partially considered. and I think can be concluded this afternoon if the Senator friom Alabama is prepared to proceed with his remarks. I shall ask unanimous consent that the present Order of Business be laid aside and that the Senate proceed to the consideration of Order ofBusiness 1801 on Chinese nimgration.
