I present a petition of the German Aid Society of Milwaukee. Wis.. praying for a change in the naturalization laws of the United States and for a uniform system of suffrage laws throughout the country. This paper is addressed to the members of Congress from Wisconsin. but it comes to me with an official request that it be presented in the Senate. Coming. as it does. from a society of GermanAmerican citizens and relating to a subject of great interest. I ask that it be read at length and that it be then referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.
