I desire to state that I hope the Committee on Foreign Relations will at an early day take up and consider the several bills introduced in this body and referred to that committee bearing upon this great question. and I now wan presidential aspirants in this body of both political parties. if there are anyI do not think there are anythat if they undertake to deal with this great question of further Chinese immigration to this country upon any other basis or upon any other idea than that of total and absolute prohibition in the future. they will be treading upon dangerous ground.
