I find in the RECORD this morning in the early stages of the debate on yesterday my friend the gentleman from Missouri . who now approaches me. is reported as having said: When we had under consideration here the bill for prohibiting the importation of contract labor the gentleman made the identical speechpronounced the measure "buncombe." and said it would not work. My friend from Missouri was slightly mistaken in that statement. but as I did not hear such a remark myself. and gentlemen around me say that none of them heard it. I did not respond as I would have done-
