Butit makes no difference that he did not know when he entered the Territory or that hewas ignorant of the existence of thislaw. he is. nevertheless. under the uniform rulings of the courts. guilty. The moment they cross the line of the Indian Territory they are subjected to the penalty under this statute. if it becomes the law. This law says this emigrant who unintentionally. unknowingly. unwittingly violates this law. who is as innocent as. the unborn child. shall be put in jail for six months and have imposed upon him a fine of $50. for that is the minimum. of punishment provided.
