Tie conference report will be read. The Acting Secretary read as follows: The committee of conference on the disagreeing votes of the two Houses on tl amendment of the House to the bill (S. No. 126) "to reimburse the Creek orphan fund." having met. after lull and free conference have agreed to recommend and do reconinenid totheir respective Houses as follows: That tim Senate recede from its slisagreenomnt to thaeenondent of the House to thesaidbill and agreeto the same with the following amendments. namely: Strike oat. in line I of said amendment. the words" fiftyone thousand "and insert in lieu thereof "fortyseven lhousand five hunldred." Strike oit. in lie 11of said a(eenlment the words " Creek orlltansn and insert in lieu thereof " Creeks who were orphans on tlt 24th day of March. 1832." Issert after tIme word "ar." in line 27 of said amendmnent. the following: "Unless in the judgment of the President it shall he for the best interests of the said orphans or their heirs that the same. in whole or in part. be deposited itt tle Treasury to their credit. as now. provided by law for Indian trustfunds. and the interest thereos only to le luid to (le tetomil benifieiaries snder this act." And add at tme end of acid Reese aentdment the following: " But nothing in this act contained shall be construed to prevent tle Unites Slates from a4serting its right to ie reimbrsed by the Creek Naton in any fetitre settlements therewith the furtier eit of $106.799.68 expended by the U niteI States oit of the Creek orplan fund for the support of loyal Creek refugees. " and the House agree to the same.
