Then I hope the proposition of the Senator from Delaware will be voted down in order that we may take up the measure proposed by the Senator from Nebraska. I do not know that it is in order to discuss the merits of anything now. but the Senate understands perfectly well why the Dakota bill should be acted upon. Another bill is being pressed by the Senator from Michigan. which proposes to protect immigrants coiing to this country. I think thatisameasurewhich shoulddemand our prompt attention. Then there is another great national measure proposed here. the bankruptcy bill. which also. it seems to me. should not be crowded out in order to give place to the umeasure proposed by the Senator from Delaware.
