I claim no man should be naturalized in this country of ours who owes ahigher allegiance to such a corrupt hierarchy than he does to the Government of the United States. ie cannot be at heart loyal to the Government of this Republic. As a matter of fact patent to all. he is not. Polygamy merely tests the DrighamiteMormon and proves the rebellious spirit that is ready in every way and at all times when dominated by the priesthood to commit the most flagrant crimes against person and property in the name of religion.
