Speech #460122017

Part of the schools were built for the colored race and part foE the white. and they have had equal justice there all the while. and there is no complaint whatever. at least I hear none. and I have been a member of the board since its organization. Therefore I say the colored people are satisfied. We have given them fair play in the educational system of the State throughout. We employ the colored people. They are the best laborers we can get. You may talk about German immigration. Chinese immigration. or any other immigration into the State. I would not give the negro as a laborer in the ettonfield for any man of any race. They are laborbig there faithfully and we are paying them justly. and we intend to continue to do so.
