They are our domain to be ascertained by survey. We are to find out wherethese lands are- what portions of these lands are fit for agricultural purposes. where oar timber is located. The sooner we find out all about the public domain of this country the better it is for the Government here at Washington. the better it is for the immigrants that are coming into the country. the better it is for the entire country. The amount recommended in this bill is $300 000. TheDepartment want $400.000.
