In order that the Senator may get an answer to the whole question. will he allow me to suggest at this time. Mr. President. that there are colonies of emigrants from the State of Massachusetts moving out to or about to move out to the State of Tennessee? They are migrating for the purpose of farming in some portions of my State. colonies of persons who have been born and reared and educated in the State of Massachusetts. where theyhavo schoolhouses. where they have laws by which they are protected. and from which they receive all the protection that can be given by civilization to men as a security for the fruits of their labor. They are coming out.
